This course provides students with an overview of health education/promotion and the role it plays in addressing public health problems such as HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections. Using health education/promotion as the major perspective from which to study HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections, the course prepares students to recognize common risk factors for select STIs, provide health education/promotion to prevent infections.
