General Biology 1 is a three-credit course required for certain non-Biology majors pursuing an Associate degree at the University of Belize. This course is an overview of the principles of cell biology and genetics. Topics discussed in the course includes: chemicals related to biological science, cellular composition, structure and organization, cell cycle, mitosis and meiosis, genetics, and the energy processes of photosynthesis and respiration.
