2020-1 BMLS3051O CLINICAL IMMUNOLOGY
This course examines the basic principles and concepts of immunology and the practical application of these to serologic diagnosis of diseases. Topics are divided into three parts: Basic immunologic mechanisms, immunologic manifestations of infectious diseases and immune disorders. The laboratory component of this course covers the theory of immunologic and serologic procedures. This course is designed to This course is designed to prepare students to function in an entry-level position in a routine immunology laboratory. Students will develop skills for identifying, diagnosing and monitoring infections and diseases and correlating laboratory results with clinical diagnoses.
