This course introduces students to the concepts and practices of sexual and reproductive health. Emphasis centers on understanding the human life cycle, sexual and reproductive health systems, family planning inclusive of contraceptives, pregnancy, gender identity and equality, and family and sexual violence. The application of an integrated approach regarding HIV/AIDS with other sexually transmitted infections are incorporated as well as the strategies for interventions to end sexual and reproductive health disparities in Belize.
