2020-1 BAGR3321O WATERSHED MANAGEMENT I: PRINCIPLES

Defines watersheds and considers the characteristics of Belizean watersheds. Considers land and soil conservation in relation to the hydrologic cycle and its components. Precipitation and the analysis of precipitation data, water quality, evaporation and estimates of evapotranspiration, infiltration, runoff, stream flow, soil erosion by water and soil conservation practices are all considered. Various methods of computing crop water requirements are taught along with considerations for sustainable water harvesting and storage.
