2020-1 AAGR2271O LIVESTOCK PRODUCTION I
This three credit hour course is an integral part of the associate degree program in general agriculture. It is divided into units that cover husbandry practices, herd management, herd health, breeding, nutrition and marketing. It also includes an overview of the beef and dairy industries in Belize and production constraints. Lecture is complemented with fieldwork to give students hands on experience in the day to day management of both beef and dairy cattle.
