2020-1 EDUC1252O NATURE OF THE LEARNER

The Nature of the Learner focuses on the study of child growth and development. It seeks to introduce student teachers to basic principles of growth and development from early childhood to adolescence. The course also identifies factors that influence growth and development and examines major developmental theories that seek to explain how growth and development occur. Topics include: Studying growth and development of children; Context and Factors influencing Child Growth and Development; Growth and Development in Early Childhood; Middle Childhood and Early Adolescence and Special Needs Learners.
