BUSS4015 PUBLIC FINANCE

This course is designed to help students develop and understand the various aspects of Public Finance including the analysis of government expenditures and revenues, taxation, public goods, externalities, public enterprises, economic models of government behavior, income distribution and stabilization policy. Other topics include the role of Government in supporting education and health, assistance to the poor as well as incentives to work. The course also focuses on
emerging issues including social insurance and the implications of aging populations on public finance.
