Counseling II is the second of a 3-course sequence which introduces students to counseling theories and skills that are relevant to the Belize context. Students will develop the capacity to function within social work counseling standards and relate them to practice in Belize. Students will practice with mock scenarios and use case studies to apply knowledge and skills with a view to implement feasible and practical researched and theory informed interventions. Students will focus on counseling with a range of clients including vulnerable populations within Belize.
