2020-2 SWRK2202 SOCIAL WORK PRACTICE II
This course presents generalist practices of social work with families from a multicultural perspective. Focuses on professional development, and teaches students a process beginning with identifying areas of concern, engagement, information gathering and assessment, designing, implementing, and evaluating intervention with families within a framework of social work values and ethics. Major theories of family interventions are examined and applied to cases. Sensitivity to cultural and human diversity issues, including gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, and specific life challenges in all phases of the helping process are emphasized.
