2020-2 SWRK3601 SUBSTANCE MISUSE AND ADDICTION TREATMENT
Substance misuse and addiction treatment course is a standalone course with no prerequisites. It is considered an elective course to help students enhance their knowledge of substance abuse and addictions treatment using the lens of a social worker. Students in the course will be exposed to defining substance abuse, aspects and treatment of addiction, the impact of addiction on the brain and behavior, and learn techniques of working with this population. The Belize context will also be provided.
