2020-2 NURS2152 CURRENT ISSUES IN NURSING

This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to examine selected issues that have an impact on the professional nurses’ ability to practice in Belize. Students analyse ethical theories and their use within the context of nursing practice, also, emerging professional roles in nursing, with a focus on the advocate component of these roles. This course enriches the other courses in the curriculum and meets the mission of the university. Included in this course are legal and ethical concerns, trends affecting nursing, health related organizations, economics, political activism, and health sector reform.
