This practicum enables the student nurse to apply management and leadership theories and research findings as a direct care provider and manager of patient care. It facilitates the understanding of the critical responsibilities of nurse managers and the development of leadership skills where knowledge about the activities, roles and responsibilities of nurse managers are integrated.
