2020-2 BMLS3402L APPLIED CLINICAL CHEMISTRY I LAB

This course provides Practical, hands-on knowledge of the principles of analytical techniques and procedures used in a clinical chemistry laboratory. Emphasis will be on biochemical aspects, clinical correlation, significance, specimen processing, analysis and reporting of patient test results. The course covers areas unique to clinical chemistry laboratory and related to professional performance. The laboratory sections cover such skills necessary to the performance of clinical chemistry test procedures for carbohydrates, enzymes, renal and liver function tests, proteins, lipids, non-protein nitrogenous compounds, blood gases and pH, and electrolytes.
