2020-2 EENG3851 ENGLISH METHODS
This course is designed for student-teachers to study specific skills and techniques to teach high school students the four essential skills that are the heart of the English language: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Topics include: an overview of language teaching methodology; introduction to second language acquisition theories and practices; modelling teacher strategies; practice teaching; error analysis; writing practice and analysis; literacy and language development; teaching gramÂmar; teaching of composition; reading and writing as processes. Additionally, the design of their lessons will be required to develop and sharpen the Critical Thinking skills of their students.
