This course presents to the students an introduction to current approaches applied to teaching Spanish as a second language (SSL) at the secondary school level. Additionally, this course provides knowledge and insight into pedagogical theoretical trends related to the teaching of a second language. Topics include: important factors in the learning/teaching a second language, introduction to the CEFR, the targeted group and the learning context, pre-methods and approaches for SSL, and the currents approach.
