This course aims to provide student teachers with an introduction and foundation to current methodologies applied to teach Spanish as a second language. Students will gain insight into pre and post communicative approaches used for second language acquisition and learn to adapt them to our local context. A Student will also become familiar with international standards of assessing a student’s level of competence in a second language using the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Classes will focus on applying the methodological approaches to teach the Spanish language in L2 context.
