2020-2 ARCH2552 ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE IN BUILDING

The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the study of the environment, which exist in and around buildings, with its principal aim of developing and understanding of the principles of environmental science and its effect on design decision.

The main focus therefore will be the effects of heat, light, and sound within buildings. Knowledge of these scientific principles will be employed to develop students’ ability to apply them to environmental factors associated with the design of the built environment.
