This course provides a broad base knowledge of the properties and uses of the common materials used in the construction industry. It focuses on the properties of building materials, their manufacture in factory and on site, the selection of materials to satisfy performance requirements and the ability to identify and remedy defects encountered with materials. This course emphasis is on timber, sealants, putties, mastics, manufactures boards materials and stones.
