This four credits course is designed for the associate’s degree students in Architectural Technology and Civil Engineering Technology. It is a continuous course of CIVL 2451 3). The purpose of this course is to introduce the technical knowledge of structures. The students will be taught the properties of sections, simple beam design, composite beam design, deflection of beams, axially loaded columns, connections, addition of direct and bending stress, and gravity retaining walls.
