2020-2 AAGR1152 AGRICULTURE FIELD AND WORKPLACE PRACTICE II
The course is designed to provide a rationale of field operation. This course will allow the student to acquire concepts based on two (2) major sections of a Farming System. They include: Crop and Livestock. These sections complement each other, since each section requires by-products from one another to achieve sustainability. The following areas are studied: Horticulture, Crop, and Farm Animals (poultry, pigs, sheep, fish and bees). The importance of planning in an integrated farming system. Pesticides classes and calculation of dosages for crops & livestock. Environmental Impact of pesticides and human health hazard.
