2020-2 BAGR4452 CLIMATE SMART AGRICULTURE (CSA): ADAPTIONS

Climate smart agriculture (CSA) is an approach to transform agriculture into a more sustainable and effective system that supports agricultural development and food security in a changing climate. Especially in the tropics, CSA helps agricultural stakeholders to adapt and prepare for unpredictable weather patterns, shorter growing seasons, extreme temperatures, and increased vulnerability of food production. This course will provide topics on climate-smart agriculture, inclusive of climate-smart crop production, soil and land management, forestry, livestock production and water management. It will also discuss the incorporation of climate change considerations into agricultural projects.
