Climate smart agriculture (CSA) is an approach to transform agriculture into a more sustainable and effective system that supports agricultural development and food security in a changing climate. Agro-meteorology is a useful tool for extension of Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA). This course will explore the Farmer Field School and Farmer Field Shops and their uses in extension services for CSA. It will focus on prioritizing CSA practices; lessons learned in approaches used in other countries; technologies for extension services in CSA sector, promising innovative extension approaches for CSA and government- led early warning systems; lessons learned from the application of the CSA framework. It will delve into farmer-to-farmer extension services; improving training tools for extension agents, and communication tools for gender- inclusive.
