2020-2 BAGR3382 BIOMETRICS: AGRICULTURE EXPERIMENTATION
This course covers the methodologies contained in descriptive and inferential statistics and concepts of design of experiments. The selection of contents is divided into 4 large axes; 1) descriptive statistic; 2) calculation of probabilities; 3) design of experiments and 4) inferential statistics. The first axis introduces concepts of population, sample, random variable, variable types, summary statistics of sample information and presentation of results. The second axis develops the concept of probability and probability distribution. The third axis introduces the fundamental principles of design of experiments and presents examples of designs common in agricultural sciences. The fourth and final axis develops and presents the foundation of data analysis techniques; this last axis integrates the knowledge acquired in the previous three axes.
