This course is an introduction to ecology. The main objective of the course is to familiarize the student with the basic ecological principles and concepts. Ecological systems and cycles will be approached both in a global and local level. Ecological behavior and how organisms interact with each other and their environment, evolutionary processes, population dynamics, communities, energy flow and ecosystems, human influences on ecosystems will be covered.
