2020-2 BIOL3362L BIOCHEMISTRY & MOLECULAR BIOLOGY LAB

Biochemistry & Molecular Biology Laboratory is a course designed for Biology majors pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology or Biology Education. This course offers practical knowledge to students on the study of informational macromolecules and how they direct molecular processes in both eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells, and on the basic principles of biochemical and molecular biology techniques of DNA, RNA and protein. Topics include cell culture techniques, structure and functions of DNA, DNA extraction, purification, and analysis, RNA, gene transcription and expression, protein synthesis and quantification, immunochemical techniques and blood typing, and modern molecular techniques like cloning, recombinant DNA technology, and DNA sequencing.
