2020-2 SWRK2304 DISASTER PREPAREDNESS
This course is designed as a response to Belize’s vulnerability to natural and human caused disasters. Emphasis will placed on the recognition of disasters, methods of disaster preparedness including the development of disaster plans from the individual to the community levels. Students will also develop skills in disaster response to include disaster relief in terms of meeting basic human needs and offering crisis support services. Disaster Preparedness is a three credit hour course requirement for both the Associate and Bachelor of Social work programs.
