During the course, students acquire knowledge of how these children progress towards proficiency in oral language, reading comprehension and original writing skills. The course is assessment driven: assignments engage students in authentic activities that enable them to explore the interconnections between the evaluation of ability levels and learning, instructional goals, teaching strategies and student-centered activities
