2020-2 ECON2014 PRINCIPLES OF MACROECONOMICS

This is a first level one semester course intended as an initial introduction to the study of macroeconomics. This course will expose students to contemporary issues in macroeconomic analysis and policy. It will also acquaint students with the distinctive features of small open economies, such as Belize, the wider Caribbean, Central America and North America. Topics to be covered include National Income, Aggregate Spending, Inflation, Unemployment, International Trade, Monetary Policy, Fiscal Policy and Balance of Payments.
