2020-2 MATH1014O1.1 INTERMEDIATE ALGEBRA
This Course examines Basic Concepts of Algebra and Geometry. It serves as a prerequisite to business math courses and provides a Mathematical background for students studying in the scientific field. It is vital that students master all the techniques taught in this course, as they are prerequisite to most of the Mathematical Courses. This course fulfills a general core requirement. Topics include: exponents, polynomials, rational expressions, radicals, relationship between exponents and roots, complex numbers, equations, inequalities and problem solving – linear and quadratic equations, inequalities involving quotients and absolute value, coordinate geometry and graphing techniques, linear and quadratic functions, exponential and logarithmic functions.
