2020-2 BMLS3201 MEDICAL PARASITOLOGY
This course will provide introduction to the general biology of parasitic protozoans, helminthes and arthropods of human and domestic animals. It will emphasize the morphology, form and function, life cycles, symptomatology, and pathogenesis of major parasites or their representative taxa. It will also focus on common pathogenic parasites, methods of identification, treatment and control of parasitic infections, impact of parasites on humans and application of parasites in pure and applied research.
