2020-3 EDLD5031 CURRICULUM LEADERSHIP

The course Curriculum Leadership is designed to have participant-learners explore the diverse and often contentious field of curriculum studies. In this course, curriculum theory and practice are discussed within the broader socio-political context of education in Belize. Participant-learners will examine the work of educators and curriculum theorists, both past and present, who have contributed and/or continue to contribute to knowledge within the field. Participant-learners are encouraged to adopt a creative viewpoint when examining key issues and past reform efforts through new and alternative vantage points. On completion of this course, participant-learners will be equipped with the fundamental skills and knowledge needed to make significant contributions towards curriculum theory and practice within their professional environments.
