This course is designed to give students a better understanding of the Belize education system. It will show them how it evolved and its relevance in today’s Belize. It will make them aware of not only the good things that have developed over the years but some of the areas that are in need of fixing if Belize is to take its rightful place in the twenty-first century.

Students will become aware of what caused certain benchmark reforms and what effects they continue to have on today’s learning. They will be able to objectively look ahead and see what must still be done to make education relevant.
