2021-2 MGMT4150 BUSINESS, GOVT. & SOCIETY

This course introduces the framework, concepts and terms for examining the relationships between business and society, and the relationships between business and government. We will gain an understanding of the wide-ranging and sometimes contentious behaviors of today’s corporations as they interact with their different stakeholders (customers, employees, shareholders, creditors, business associates, the public, activists, and government). By invoking ethics, social conscience and normative expectations, we explore concepts such as corporate social responsibility, corporate citizenship and corporate governance.
