2021-2 BIOL1302L BIODIVERSITY LAB

This lab course covers practical aspects of the course Biodiversity (BIOL 1302). Students will be asked to observe live/preserved specimens and permanent mounts of various major groups of organisms. They should be able to relate the structures of the organisms to their function and adaptations of those organisms to live in certain habitats. The purpose of the lab is to give students hands-on exposure to a wide variety of organisms and their diverse characteristics so that they will have a framework in which to place the living organisms in their respective taxonomic groups, which will give students a global view of the biological world.
