2021-2 BMLS4151 APPLIED CLINICAL CHEMISTRY II
This is an advanced part of BMLS3402 which emphasizes integration of cognitive materials with clinical laboratory findings. It covers statistical analysis of clinical chemistry & biochemical reactions and their pathophysiological relationships. Other areas covered in this course are the structure and functions of Nucleic acids & Proteins as well as genetic basis of human disease. It also addresses the principle and theory of clinical endocrinology, clinical toxicology, therapeutic drug monitoring, modern automation and assessment of metabolic disease/dysfunction using clinical analysis. This Course also provides theoretical knowledge of the principles of analytical techniques; and procedures used in a clinical chemistry laboratory with emphasis on biochemical aspects, clinical correlation, significance, specimen processing, analysis and reporting of patient test results.
