The course examines factors that influence social and emotional development and explains how these interrelate with other aspects of growth and development (i.e. physical, moral, and cognitive development.)  This course also focuses on Play as a context for social development and learning while utilizing play-based skills and activities. The course places emphasis on age appropriate behavior expectations in young children and examines developmentally appropriate behavior guidance.
