2022-2 CMPS1024OA COMPUTER BUSINESS APPLICATIONS

This course is designed for students majoring in Business Administration, who have gained knowledge of computers and data processing and the World Wide Web. The main objective of the course is to prepare students for the usage of multiple advanced application programs (such as, Word processing, Spreadsheet, Database, and Web Development), and be able to apply the use of these applications in all aspects of learning. This course will also enable students to explore the internet and use the virtual learning environment, MOODLE.

This course is asynchronous, which means that the holding of live classroom sessions does not take place. Instead, we have a weekly consultation session for each class. These last about 30 minutes and are designed to keep students on track with the course deliverables. Sessions will consist of announcements, reminders, directions to locate resources, clarifications on assignments and generalized feedback. While attendance at the live consultation sessions is not mandatory, students are required to either attend and/or view the recorded session or it will negatively impact their grade. You are ultimately accountable for all information provided at these sessions.
