MGMT 1014 is a general education core course. Also, it is a required three-credit course for all students completing their associate’s degree program in business science. It is also necessary to transfer to bachelor's programs within the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences. This introductory course deals with the managerial functions of planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. It speaks to management principles with universal application to profit and not-for-profit organizations. An effort is made to adapt the course to suit local realities in Belize and the Caribbean.
